Out of concern for your children, families, staff, and volunteers we have decided to cancel VBS out of an abundance of caution even though we have not had a confirmed case of Covid-19 reported at our church. We know that our community is experiencing an uptick in cases therefore we have decided to not go ahead with VBS at this time.
You may have already heard or received notice that we had a few children and Teachers from The Crossing campus that has tested positive for COVID. This was part of our decision to cancel on such short notice, and we apologize for any inconvenience.
As a precautionary measure, we have chosen to close The Crossing campus for at least the next 7 days to see if anyone else develops symptoms. However we will provide further updates this coming week.
Data shows that it usually takes 7 days before symptoms would appear if you have been in contact with someone that has COVID-19.
In the meantime, we are taking daily precautions and are having both campus’ thoroughly sanitized in all areas and as well as being in contact with the Health Department to ensure we have completed all necessary steps to keep the children, staff and our facility safe.
Again we apologize for the short notice but feel this is the best decision for all involved to keep everyone safe during this time.
Please continue to pray for all those affected by the closures including all teachers, students, those that attended VBS, the Church staff, leadership and our country.
Thank you for your prayers and understanding, should you have any questions, please contact the church office at 336-996-7388.
