I'm A New Christian...What's Next?

Accepting Christ is your first step. What you do next is equally important.

Simple Goals

01 Daily Devotions

Daily Prayer and devotion is your first goal. Let's do this the easiest way possible. Grab your phone, go to your app store and download the Bible App. Open it up, create an account, then click the tab that says plans. Type in a subject that is meaningful to your life right now. Pick the first plan that comes up and start there. Set a reminder right then so you remember to do your devotion every day. Once that one is done, pick another. Each time you finish a devotion, say a prayer asking for guidance and protection.

This is a good place to start.

02 Start Praying

Great...but how?

Starting your prayer journey can be confusing and make you feel like you are talking with nothing. This is going to sound weird, but the best way to start is by talking to him about how new to this you are.

Then make a list of things you are concerned about and requests you have and ask. Talk with him about your worries, concerns, and requests. Let him know about your dreams and desires.

03 Get Into Church

Church is important for more than just corporate worship. It's about fellowship with other Christians who can support and guide you. Make church a priority every week. You heard us, not once a month. Aim for every Sunday.

Actually, lets do a challenge. Make a commitment to come every Sunday for Two Months and really do church. get involved, meet people, volunteer, make friends, join a group, listen to the sermons and apply them to your life. Afterwards, reach out to one of our pastors and tell them about what has or hasn't changed.
